COMMISSION FAQ

What is your commission process?

I will open up commission requests dependent every month for limited amount that I have capacity for. You submit your order request and we decide on pricing and design. After the project proposal is accepted and retainer received, I will begin working on your project at the start of the following month - if not sooner.

Submit a commission request form. Include inspiration pictures (emailed or DMed to me as well), color ideas, overall theme/ vibe, etc. The more detail the better! If you are open to creative freedom then I can come up with a design based on overall theme/ vibe you are looking for.

I will respond within a week, with any follow up questions. Once I have the information I need I will send you a proposal to include a quote and retainer request. At this stage we open conversation to discuss changes, budget, timeline, etc. I am very flexible to adjusting design as we go as long as it as at a stage in the process that allows for it.
You will hear from me with updates throughout the creation process! I am so excited to create something you love, so expect frequent updates and process pictures. Occasionally a design will not work out the way we anticipated. If this happens, I will restart the process at no cost to you, just with a timeline extension.

Upon completion I will request the remaining balance. After total balance is received I will then ship your pieces or get in touch about local pickup.

When can I expect my custom pieces to be finished?

Each order will be different, as timeline will be affected by quantity, design details, or if we needed to order custom stamps/ stencils/ colors that I did not already have in stock. Once materials are gathered, most small orders with average design details can be finished in 6-10 weeks. Keep in mind timeline disclaimers such as potential kiln accidents, glaze defects, unexpected weather that can delay drying process, etc. I want to get your new art to you as quickly as possible but I also take extreme caution in not rushing the process so I can create a slow-made and beautiful piece for you.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a non-refundable retainer of 50% of total project cost is due before work will begin. I am very happy to be flexible throughout the process to create exactly what you want. Unfortunately retainers will not be refunded. When a project is approved, your estimated timeline is based on existing orders and vice versa. I then will not take on more projects that would affect your production timeline. If your project is cancelled during the process I am unable to book projects that I had turned down. I will work with you to reschedule a new project in the event something doesn’t work out, and we can retain your deposit for use towards a new one. This policy protects my time and production schedule, and I will happy meet any kind request with mutual understanding and respect.
